Mike MacGilvray
Senior Preconstruction Manager
As Senior Preconstruction Manager, Mike helps lead Eno’s preconstruction department to ensure proper scope alignment between all parties. As preconstruction manager, Mike oversees the planning phase of construction projects, bridging the gap between design and building. He is responsible for establishing project budgets, creating detailed schedules, analyzing feasibility, managing subcontractor proposals, and performing value engineering to ensure project goals align with costs.
Mike attended East Carolina University and graduated alongside Jason Jinorio in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He began his career in Richmond, VA, working for a local general contractor while being mentored by a great preconstruction team that helped him shape the early foundation for his career. After five years, his wife and him made the decision to return home to the Raleigh area to be closer to family.
Since moving back to Raleigh, Mike has spent his preconstruction career working with some regional general contractors in the area, honing his capabilities, and playing a key role in driving informed decision-making and project success for clients. His experience has equipped him with a strong understanding of market conditions, subcontractor engagement, and risk management, enabling him to deliver well-aligned project strategies from concept through award.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys hanging out with his wife and two children, watching his ECU Pirates, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Hurricanes. He also enjoys playing golf, and is always down for building a new Lego set.
