DESCRIPTION:

Replacement of cooling tower for an anchor tenant of RTP. The project overcame logistical challenges by providing a detailed delivery and logistics plan for the disposal of the existing cooling tower and delivery of the new one. Scope of work included reconfiguration of the existing piping, new VFD and electrical infrastructure, and modifications to the existing structure. The project team implemented several method-of-procedure plans to coordinate critical shutdowns and tie-ins. It was the project team’s diligent approach collaboration with the facilities team that resulted in zero unplanned interruptions. Highlights included an onsite temporary pre-fabrication shop to expedite the installation process.
