Michael Peckham
SUPERINTENDENT
Michael has spent around 13 years in construction and technical work, beginning with residential remodeling and building supply during high school. In 2013, he joined the Marine Corps as a combat engineer, primarily serving as a squad leader involved in construction and demolition projects in the U.S., Korea, and Japan. After leaving active duty in 2017, he attended UMass Amherst, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in project management with a focus on sustainable building. While in college, Michael enlisted in the Army National Guard to train as an aircraft mechanic, pursuing his passion for mechanics by working at Wood Group Pratt and Whitney and later as a civilian contractor for the Army on Blackhawks.
Following college, he joined Monteith Construction as a superintendent, where he has primarily focused on technical projects, including fire stations, emergency rooms, operating rooms, and hospital labs, as well as a complex daycare/community center project. His experience encompasses both ground-up construction and renovations in occupied spaces. Michael thrives in environments that require focused attention, detailed coordination, and a commitment to high standards for himself, his trade partners, and the finished product.
He believes that construction can be a positive field of work and aims to foster a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment on his job sites, believing that it is possible to build to perfection while having fun in the process.
Outside of work, Michael cherishes time with his wife, Kayla, their daughter, Charlie, and their two dogs, five chickens, and six ducks. He is passionate about building—whether it’s home projects, playsets for his daughter, or working on his project car after she’s asleep. When they’re not busy with these activities, the family loves going on outdoor adventures whenever they can.
